It takes a village to raise a community.

Spearheaded by Jennifer Johnson, whose community activism began over 15 years ago, and supported by The Creative Concierge, Here to Help is a non-profit and volunteer-led program connecting community members in a position to give with local charities and social service agencies to assist families and individuals in the Durham Region.

Over 3 million Canadians (nearly 10%) live below the poverty line, StatsCan reported BEFORE Covid-19; a number we can only assume is rising.

Nearly 1 in 5 children experience the harsh long-term consequences that poverty and discrimination have on social, mental and physical health and well-being.

Half of Canadians are on the brink of insolvency since the pandemic hit the country hard, saying they are $200 or less away from being able to meet financial debt obligations, according the MNP Consumer Debt Index.
